Students have started using social media sites to take admissions into institutes. The savvy students can use social media for their advantage. In 2012, Kaplan Test Preparation Survey was taken according to which the admission officers are using Google to learn about how to increase applicants from 20 percent in 2011 to 27 percent in 2012. The college search has increased on facebook by 26 percent.
Social Media is an excellent way for applicant to introduce themselves to admission officers. With the help of social media students can understand more about the institute, foster interaction and engagement. Applicants should also be aware about what sort of updates are being sent to them.
